Photo-graphics
Always in search of new pictorial experiences, Shahla Dadsetan amazes and conquers through the dynamism, the inventiveness of her creation. Tuned in to her time, she uses today's media without neglecting a more 'classical' creation in the broad sense of the term. She substitutes thus, occasionally, the brush for the pen of the calligrapher, then for the computer into creations whose foundation rests on an earlier personal work: photography, portrait from which she recaptures the elements in a pictorial work, giving them thus a new life.
We find again light and vitality in this intelligent and interesting mutation. These compositions evoke always the bubbling of Genesis, the universe with which human being is closely bound, in elliptical lines, often in a rhythmical pace. Shahla Dadsetan plays with lights, colours or a powerful clash between black and white. Nicole Lamothe - Art critic
